Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that I am authorised by all co-authors to submit this version of the article, and to be their spokesperson during the review process and beyond.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF or PDF document file format.
  • Where available, DOIs/URLs for the references have been provided.
  • I, the submitting author, agree to include all relevant metadata information during the submission process, including all co-authors' names and emails. Refer our privacy statement.

Articles

The journal considers all original research manuscripts, provided that the work reports scientifically sound experiments and provides a substantial amount of new information. Authors should not unnecessarily divide their work into several related manuscripts, although short Communications of preliminary but significant results will be considered. The quality and impact of the study will be considered during peer review. The recommended length of an Article is more than 6 journal pages.

Reviews

These provide concise and precise updates on the latest progress made in a given area of research. 

Short Communication

Short communications are publications with up to about four page in size and reporting a result likely of impact on the future research in the respective field. Authors are encouraged to submit an extended version of the paper at a later stage.
